Pacific Island Cruises

Duration:

Your Pacific Island Cruise Tour begins as you are driven up to 5,000 ft. above sea level and then descend to the pacific port of Puntarenas in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus. You will be served a light continental breakfast as your journey takes you through the ever-changing panorama of coffee and sugar plantations, volcanic mountains, unique Brahman cattle and the Gulf of Nicoya . Once in Puntarenas board the Calypso's state-of-the-art catamaran, the Manta Raya. One of the unique features of this catamaran is that she was designed from over 20 years' worth of passengers' suggestions. Additional features include a spacious air-conditioned main salon with a full bar, an expansive deck area including 2 Jacuzzi pools, an underwater viewing window and fresh water showers. Only the Manta Raya has a bow ramp, allowing her passengers the safety and convenience of disembarking directly onto the beach. As the Manta Raya cruises past lush mangroves, canneries and stilt houses of Puntarenas on her way to the
Gulf of Nicoya, the crew pampers you with fresh tropical fruits and drinks. Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes south is the day's palm-studded destination: Tortuga Island, famous for it's beauty of immaculate white sand beach and turquoise waters. Sip cold wine in the shade of white umbrellas as your mid-day feast is served at tables covered with white linen. Your sumptuous, delightful lunch was featured in Gourmet Magazine. The menu consists of a starter with a ceviche appetizer, a medley of salads and as the main dish, bar-b-queued chicken breast covered in mouth-watering papaya, and coconut cream sauce accompanied by julienne vegetables. Calypso's expert crew sautés your lunch on the grill. On your return journey during the afternoon the catamaran will pass the islands of San Lucas, Sugar Loaf, Jesusita, Cedros and the National Park islands of Guayabo and Negritos.
